Views By Sri Gading MP Entirely His Own, Says BN

KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 - The views expressed by Member of Parliament for Sri Gading Datuk Mohamad Aziz were entirely his own and not of the Barisan Nasional (BN), said BN secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.

"Let me stress that BN upholds the Federal Constitution and the principle of the rule of law on Bersih, which is still being investigated by the authorities," he said in a statement Wednesday.

Mohamad Aziz, in a parliamentary debate yesterday, said Bersih co-chairman Datuk S. Ambiga allegedly deserved a capital punishment.

He also likened Bersih to the Al-Maunah militant movement for trying to create chaos and topple the government.
