Six Months Jail For Assaulting Ex-girlfriend
Magistrate Siti Shakirah Mohtarudin also ordered S.Karthik, 23, to serve an additional month in prison for failing to present his identity card to a police officer.
The sentences were ordered to run concurrently from June 11, the date of his arrest.
According to the facts of the case, Karthik assaulted S. Navena at the PPR Desa Rejang housing project in Setapak Jaya at 5 pm on June 11, after he failed to win her back, causing injuries to her head and lips.
He was also charged for the failure to present his identity card or temporary identity document to Corp Salina@Lina Mansor at the Wangsa Maju police station here at 12.01 am on April 22.
